The life of London’s banking interns, and the death of Moritz Erhardt

Banking interns

On the evening when news broke that Bank of America intern Moritz Erhardt and collapsed and died, I visited the housing block where he and his fellow interns lived and wrote this piece for the next day’s paper. Many of the reports of Erhardt’s death used the term ‘Magic Roundabout’ to illustrate the gruelling junior work culture at the City’s banks –  quoting a 2011 piece we published in the Standard.
